Wilkins Traffic Map [Enter through the Gym Entrance]
|
- What entrance will be used that night (if it's a large
school, etc.)?
- We will enter through the double doors on the east end of the
parking lot [the gym entrance]. It looks like the front entrance (but it's not). I'll
mark the door with signs. Once in the building, the caucus room is a
short left down the hall, then take the next left down long hall.
- Is the entrance wheelchair accessible?
- What time will you open the site/room?
- The room is used for afterschool child care. I have been
told that I can get in the room to start setting up by 5:45 pm.
I plan to be there by 5:30 in case I can get in sooner. I expect
to be able to begin letting people in by 6 --earlier if they
clear out of the room sooner.
- Are the candidate caucusing areas first come first
serve?
- Yes, once I configure other need areas.
- Are we allowed to put up posters? With tape? May we
distribute literature and stickers?
- Poster are fine taped to the wall. I think we want to avoid
people holding posters up and obscuring others view. As for
literature and stickers, I'll have to re-read the book to see if
anything is specifically prohibited. My feeling is that unless
specifically prohibited, those activities should be permitted as
long as they do not disrupt the caucus.
- Are we allowed to bring in food and drink?
- As of Dec 30, citing prohibitions in many of the caucus
sites as well as liability issues, the Linn County Central
committee has banned food and drink at the caucus sites.
- Will there be a room for childcare?
- No, not a room. I have been told that everything else will
be locked up. There is space in the hall.
- What is your rule for non-caucusing observers?
- I will set up a space for observers.
- Is there anything else I should know?
- I will be looking for volunteers to assist with
registration.
